ABOUT US

Guadalupe Valley church of Christ began in April, 2021 when four families who were driving out-of-town to worship discussed the need for a New Testament church in New Braunfels.

As followers of Christ, we are simply called New Testament Christians (Acts 11:26). We strive to follow the Bible in all we do (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We meet in homes, which has been a tremendously positive, relationship-building and biblical experience (Acts 2:46). If you would like to visit, please call (830) 308-8986 for location.

Overview of Our Beliefs

This is not a statement of faith. The New Testament in its entirety is our only statement of faith. This list serves as an overview of what we believe.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Are Your Services Like?

We worship in-person on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7). As part of our worship, we have accapella singing (Col. 3:16). A Gospel message is preached from the Bible (2 Tim. 4:2). We give to further the work of the kingdom (1 Cor. 16:1‐2). The Lord’s supper is taken every Sunday (1 Cor. 11:23‐25). Prayers of praise, supplication and thanksgiving are offered (1 Thess. 5:17).

Where Do You Meet?

We are meeting in homes much like what we expect the 1st-century Christians experienced. To protect our members' privacy online, please call (830) 308-8986 or email info@gvchurchofchrist.org for our current meeting location.

Do You Offer Bible Classes?

Yes! We have classes for all ages on Sunday mornings at 10 am and Wednesday nights at 7 pm. During the week, our ladies have a Bible class on Mondays at 10 am and the teens and young adults meet every-other Monday night at 7 pm.

Are Visitors Welcome?

Absolutely! Nothing makes us happier. We have welcomed visitors nearly every week since starting at the end of April 2021.

As a visitor, you can expect a warm and friendly welcome and to worship the Lord in spirit and truth (John 4:24). You should also expect every class and sermon to be filled with scripture and not the opinions of men (2 Timothy 1:13).

If you come on a Sunday, plan to stay for lunch. You would be our honored guest!
